Pamela departed this world on April 12, 2026, at the age of 44, in Columbus, Ohio, the city where she was born on May 20, 1981. Her untimely passing due to drug overdoses leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Pamela was the cherished daughter of the late Charlene Winning and Steven Deem, who predeceased her and whom she now joins in eternal peace. She was a beacon of love and warmth, whose radiant spirit touched everyone she encountered. Pamela shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, John Hurst. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her legacy lives on through her three beloved daughters, Tiffany Sturgill, Katie Sturgill, and Misty Sturgill, who were the light of her life. Though she leaves no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, Pamela's love and teachings will echo through the generations to come. She is survived by her extensive and loving family, including her brothers Donnie (Libby) Sturgill, James (Angie) Winning, Kevin Winning, and Phillip Deem, as well as her sisters Jennifer (David) Spence, Michelle Sturgill, Melanie (Nevada) Sturgill, and Amanda Sturgill. Pamela was a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember her warmth and generous spirit. Pamela's life was a testament to resilience and love. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained a steadfast source of strength and support for her family and friends. She had an innate ability to make others feel valued and loved, a gift that will be sorely missed. Her interests were as diverse as her vibrant personality. Pamela had a passion for helping others, often volunteering her time and energy to support those in need. Her kindness and empathy knew no bounds, and her community is the better for having known her. In honoring Pamela's life, we remember the laughter she shared, the love she gave, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will forever be a guiding light for those she left behind. A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her legacy and share stories of their time with her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to organizations dedicated to supporting those struggling with addiction, in hopes of preventing other families from experiencing similar losses. Pamela Sue Hurst will be remembered with love and affection, her memory a precious treasure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the everlasting love of her parents, and may her spirit soar free, eternally remembered and forever cherished.
