Pamela Scholl
August 24, 1961 — May 29, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Scholl, a beloved wife, stepmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on May 29, 2026, at the age of 64. Pamela succumbed to respiratory complications while surrounded by the comforting presence of her loved ones at a hospital that had become a second home in her final days.
Born on August 24, 1961, in the close-knit town of Rochester, Pennsylvania, Pamela was the cherished daughter of Rose Felger, who predeceased her. Growing up, she inherited her mother's gentle spirit and warmth, traits that she carried throughout her life. Pamela's love for family extended to her four-legged companions, and she was predeceased by her beloved cats—Scooter, Silver, Ollie, and Peper—who brought her immense joy and companionship.
Pamela's life was illuminated by the love she shared with her devoted husband, Greg Scholl. Their journey together began on January 2, 2007, when they vowed to build a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Over 19 beautiful years, Pamela and Greg nurtured a family and a home that was a sanctuary for joy and togetherness. Pamela embraced her role as a stepmother to Phillip Scholl and Jessica Balkovec, who, alongside her husband, survive her. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Matthew Toole, Evan Balkovec, and Merlin Scholl, who will forever hold "Grandma Pam" in their hearts.
Pamela's educational journey began at South Range High School, where she graduated in 1979. She pursued her passion for caring for others by studying Nursing at Youngstown State University. Her professional life was spent with AVI Foodsystems Inc., where she was known not only for her work ethic but also for her kindness and empathy towards colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond her career, Pamela was an active member of the WRFGA, where she served as a trustee. Her organizational skills and warm heart found a perfect fit as she orchestrated the club’s cherished Christmas party and donned the role of Santa's helper, spreading joy and cheer to all.
Pamela possessed a remarkable talent for cooking and baking, transforming every meal into a feast of love. Her home was a gathering place for holiday celebrations, where she delighted in hosting and sharing her culinary creations. Her baked goods, often the highlight of any gathering, were a testament to her creativity and dedication.
In the quiet moments of life, Pamela found solace in the gentle purring of her surviving family cat, Nutmeg, who brought her comfort and companionship. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Pamela Scholl's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the simple joys of family and community. As we celebrate her life, we find solace in knowing that she is reunited with her mother and her beloved cats, watching over us with the same warmth and love she shared throughout her life.
A memorial service to honor Pamela will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Pamela’s memory to a local animal shelter, in honor of her love for animals.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
