Pamela Gay Gray

Pamela Gray, a beloved wife, mother, nana, aunt, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2026, in the comforting embrace of her husband, DeWayne Gray, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 21, 1958, in West Liberty, Kentucky, Pamela was the cherished daughter of John and Daisy Hollon. Pamela's journey through life was marked by deep love and unwavering dedication to her family. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents EttaBelle and Walter Bush, Pearl and Kie Hollon, as well as her brothers Jackie, John, Robert “Bobby,” and Anthony “Tony” Hollon, and her sister Tabitha Lange. Her legacy, however, continues through the lives of those she leaves behind: her devoted husband of nearly 40 years, DeWayne Gray, her daughters Sunserae Scott, Elicia Scott, and Leslie Gray, her grandchildren Kalil, Nas, and Tahj Myers, Braedyn, and Brennyn Bonner, and her great-grandchildren Harmony and KJ. Pamela is also survived by her sister Marcha Hollon Nunley, her brother Jeff Hollon, and a large extended family of beloved aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Pamela was an active and cherished member of the Greater Allen Church community. Her warmth and generosity knew no bounds, and she found great joy in feeding those she loved. Whether cuddling on the couch watching Hallmark Christmas shows or raising her voice passionately during football games, Pamela's presence was a source of comfort and joy. She was known for her resilience and outspoken nature, always ready with a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Pamela made everyone feel at home, and her strong will and direct nature were tempered by her fierce love and unwavering support for those around her. In life, Pamela delighted in spoiling her grandchildren and entertaining family and friends. She had a knack for fussing at DeWayne about anything and everything, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Pamela's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to Liberty Station Health Campus and their wonderful staff, as well as Suncrest Hospice, for their exceptional care and support. Special thanks are extended to Becky and Jodi, whose love and dedication provided immense comfort to both Pam and DeWayne during her time under hospice care. In accordance with her wishes, a private celebration of life ceremony will be held to honor Pamela's memory. Pamela's family invites all who knew her to remember her not only as a woman of remarkable strength and love but as a beacon of kindness and resilience whose spirit will forever grace the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
