Pamela Mullins Cable, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her life. Pamela was born on September 28, 1962, to Clifford Wilson Mullins and Alice Faye Smith Mullins.
After graduating from Abingdon High School and completing her nursing studies at Virginia Highlands Community College, Pamela dedicated many years to caring for others, embodying the true spirit of the nursing profession. Her gentle touch and heartfelt care left a lasting impact on her patients and colleagues alike.
Her life was a testament to faith and love, shared deeply with her devoted husband, James "Jim" Cable. Together, they navigated life's journey for 34 wonderful years, grounding their marriage in a shared commitment to their Christian faith. Their home was filled with the aroma of Pamela’s cooking and the beautiful crafts she lovingly created.
Pamela was a cherished daughter to her mother, Alice Faye Mullins, and sister to her brother, David E. Mullins and his wife, Melissa. She was also survived by her niece, Katelyn Salyer, her husband Matt, and their children Everly and Cliff, all of whom she truly loved. She also shared a special bond with her sister-in-law, Debbie Meade, and was an affectionate niece, cousin, and friend to many.
Pamela is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Mullins. Also preceded in death by her grandparents, Jackson and Maxie Irene Kennedy Smith, and Clyde Tate and Bessie Lawson Mullins, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service celebrating Pamela’s life will be held on May 17, 2026, at Brownsboro First Assembly of God in Texas. Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to Angie Gunn and Debbie Meade for their unwavering support and kindness during this difficult time. Pamela’s legacy of love, faith, and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
