Pamela McAlpin Magouirk

November 9, 1957 — May 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Pamela McAlpin Magouirk on May 1, 2026. Born on November 9, 1957, in Florida, Pamela was a beacon of love and kindness, whose warmth touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Pamela was born to Bobby McAlpin and Robbie Cox McAlpin, who instilled in her the values of compassion, resilience, and unwavering love. Those who knew Pamela often spoke of her as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sibling, whose presence was a constant source of support and joy. Her gracious spirit and nurturing nature were evident in all her endeavors and relationships. She was predeceased by her cherished husband and high school sweetheart, Larry Thomas Magouirk, whom she married in a union filled with love and mutual respect. Their love story was an inspiration to many, and although she missed him every moment since his passing, we find solace in knowing they are now reunited, with Larry watching over her once again. Pamela was also predeceased by her beloved grandson, Myles Chase Tyson, and a host of Magouirks who cherished her as their own. Pamela leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her devoted son, Eric (Jessica) Magouirk, who carries forward her values and spirit. Her brothers, Steve McAlpin and Greg McAlpin, shared a bond with Pamela that was unbreakable, reflecting the deep-rooted family ties that she held dear. Her grandchildren, Laura (Dalton) Tyson and Caleb (Hannah) Bass, will continue to feel her love and guidance throughout their lives. Pamela’s family tree blooms with the love of her nieces, Crystal and Brittany McAlpin, and her great-nephew, Holden, alongside many loving members of the Cox, McAlpin, and Magouirk families. Pamela's legacy is not just in her family but also in the hearts of everyone she met. She was well-loved beyond belief, with a gentle spirit that brought comfort and joy to her community. Her kindness and empathy were boundless, and her ability to make everyone feel valued and heard was a gift that will be dearly missed. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of Wrightsville Manor Health and Rehab, as well as Compassus Hospice, for their immeasurable compassion and comfort during Pamela's final journey. Their care and support were a testament to the impact Pamela had on everyone she encountered. A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and share their cherished stories. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a charity close to Pamela’s heart, ensuring her legacy of love and kindness continues to flourish. Rest in peace, dear Pamela. Your light will shine in our hearts forever.
