Pamela G. Nuveman

April 13, 1955 — March 26, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela G. Nuveman, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Pam peacefully left this world on March 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on April 13, 1955, in the charming town of Owosso, Michigan, Pam lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and infectious joy. Pam was the cherished daughter of Jack E. Striggow and the late Carole G. (Davis) Striggow. She shared a special bond with her father, who survives her, and often spoke of the treasured memories they created together. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edwin R. Nuveman, with whom she shared a beautiful marriage since 1995. Pam and Edwin R. were true soulmates, relishing simple pleasures like driving down country roads in their jeep and relishing tranquil moments at Indian River. Pam's life was enriched by her close-knit family, including her brother Randy and his wife Roxanne, her sister Patricia, and family friend James Harr. She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law Tom (Susan), Jim (Kayann), and Chuck (Linda), along with a host of nephews, nieces, great-nieces, and nephews who brought her endless joy. Her heart was always open to her extended family, and she adored every moment spent with them. A proud graduate of Corunna High School's class of 1973, Pam maintained lifelong friendships that were dear to her. She embarked on a fulfilling career with the Secretary of State after brief stints at General Telephone and Toledo Commutator. Pam retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that touched the lives of countless individuals. Pam's life was a testament to her deep love for nature and animals. She was an avid Jeep enthusiast and cherished her adventures with her mother and sister, Patty, as they combed the shores of Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Superior for beach glass and unique stones. Her love of the outdoors was matched only by her passion for animals, particularly her efforts to rescue and care for stray cats. Pam's home was always open to her 'house kitties'—Momma's Boy, Gibbs, Lucy, and Goldie—who brought her immense comfort and companionship. A devoted follower of her faith, Pam found solace in her relationship with her Lord and Savior. She was a diligent student of the Bible, and her handwritten daily devotions were a testament to her unwavering faith. Pam's spiritual journey was complemented by her involvement in the Girl Scouts and 4-H, where she shared her love for her majestic Palomino horse, Pepper. Pam's family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Haven of Rest of Shiawassee County and Memorial Hospital Hospice for their compassionate care during her final days. They also extend their appreciation to all who kept Pam in their thoughts and prayers. In honor of Pam's love for animals, donations can be made to the Haven of Rest of Shiawassee County or the Shiawassee Humane Society. A celebration of Pam's remarkable life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor the legacy of a woman whose kindness, love, and compassion touched the hearts of many. Pam will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her infectious laughter, and the unconditional love she shared with all who knew her. May her soul find peace and her memory be a blessing to us all.
