Pamela Fabel Horn
May 1, 1951 — December 27, 2025
With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Pamela Fabel Horn, who departed this world on December 27, 2025, at the age of 74, in the comforting embrace of her home in North Carolina. Born on May 1, 1951, in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Pam's journey was one marked by love, laughter, and an extraordinary ability to touch the lives of everyone she encountered.
Pam was the daughter of Stroudsburg, where she spent her formative years and built a life filled with cherished memories. Many will remember her as the vibrant spirit behind the counter at Besecker's Diner, where her smiling face and quick wit warmed the hearts of patrons and colleagues alike. Her career in food service was not just a job but a testament to her love for people and her community. After many fulfilling years at the diner, Pam retired to Jacksonville, North Carolina, where she embraced her golden years with grace and joy.
Pam was a devoted mother to her beloved daughters, Jennifer Horn and Ashley Horn, who were the center of her universe. Her love for her family knew no bounds and was evident in her every action. She adored her grandchildren, Isaiah and Emmajean Tran, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Pam cherished the time she spent with them, always nurturing their spirits with her warmth and wisdom.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Matthew Horn, her brother Alan Fabel, and her beloved mother. Their memories lived on in her heart, cherished and honored in her stories and recollections.
Pam's companion, Daryl, stood by her side, sharing in her joys and comforting her in times of sorrow. Her sisters, Joy Todd and Susan Anderson, were her lifelong confidantes, sharing in her laughter and love, creating memories that will endure in their hearts forever.
Pam had a penchant for the simple pleasures in life—flowers, birds, and the occasional game of Bingo. Her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit, where she found solace and beauty. Her laughter was infectious, a melody that resonated long after it was heard. Pam possessed a memory that was as vivid as it was detailed, often sharing stories that transported her family back to cherished moments during long, heartfelt telephone conversations.
To honor and celebrate Pam's life, a memorial service will be held on June 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Upper Mount Bethel Community Park. It will be a time to remember the light she brought into the world and to share in the love that she so generously gave.
In remembrance of Pam, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and the joy of living fully. Though she may have departed from our physical world, her spirit and laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
May she rest in eternal peace, forever cherished and remembered.
