Pamela Denise Jones Pamela Denise Jones, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on August 27, 1962, in Ruther Glen, VA, Pamela was the cherished daughter of the late Walter Melvin Boone Sr. and Delores Venita Boone. She is predeceased by her siblings, Walter M. Boone Jr., Paula P. Brown, Cheryl G. Lewis and Two brother in-laws: Michael Young Sr. and Vada Rollins. Pamela is survived by her long-term companion of 28 years, Robert L. Towles Sr., with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love and companionship. Together, they raised a wonderful family, including her daughters: Crystal Jones and Chyyana Towles; her sons: Montae Jones, Jesse Jones, Robert Towles Jr., Antonio Francis, and Shawn Lee. Pamela was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Two sisters: Violet Young and Sydney Rollins, One brother: Andrew Toliver, Three Aunts: Louise Young, Dorothy Boone of Ruther Glen, VA. and Lola Moore of Columbia, SC. Four Uncles: Freddie Boone, James Ferguson, Reginald Ferguson, Morris Ferguson. A host of nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A graduate of the Caroline County Public School Systems, Pamela devoted her career to the City of Richmond Department of Finance, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism. Pamela accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Chilesburg, VA. Her love for music and singing was evident as she led the Youth Choir, Mass Choir, and the Voices of Praise Gospel Choir with her favorite song, “I Will Sing Praises.” In her spare time, Pamela found joy in cooking and baking for family and friends during holidays, cookouts, and family gatherings. She had a particular fondness for aquarium fish and pets, nurturing them with the same care she showed to those around her. Pamela also took pleasure in tending to her flowers and collecting birdhouses, finding beauty in nature's simple gifts. Pamela's humor was a gift to everyone who knew her; she always had a joke ready to brighten any mood. Her passion for the music of oldies but goodies was well-known, often playing songs to lift her spirits and the spirits of those around her. Pamela’s life will be remembered of love, laughter, cooking and music.
