Pamela Curtis, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2023, after a courageous battle with lupus. Born on August 11, 1967, in Holland, Michigan, Pamela was a beacon of light and kindness to all who knew her. Her journey through life was marked by warmth, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family and community. Pamela was the cherished daughter of Iris and the late Robert VanDyck. She was predeceased by her father, Robert, and her grandparents, Gertrude and Edwin VanSpykder, and Jeanette and Ronald VanDyck. She is survived by her devoted mother, Iris, her loving siblings, John, David, Bruce VanDyck, and Stacey Dewitt, and her adoring husband, Gordon 'Tim' Curtis, whom she married in April of 1987. Together, Pamela and Gordon created a loving home, fostering for eight years and adopting three wonderful children who were the center of her world. Her family fondly remembers her infectious smile and the kindness that radiated from her. Pamela had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. She was the type of person who would give the clothes off her back to help others, particularly her children, who often recount how her smile could light up any room she entered. An avid runner, Pamela found joy in participating in 5k races, whether for charity or simply for the thrill of it. Her family recalls her singing with joy while running on the treadmill, a testament to her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Pamela also cherished spending time with her mother and her children, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Pamela's life was a testament to love and resilience. Even in the face of adversity, her spirit remained indomitable, and her heart, ever generous. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
