Obituary for Pamela Bryant October 26, 1947 – June 4, 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Bryant, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 4, 2026, at the age of 78. Pamela was born on October 26, 1947, in Herkimer, NY, to Wilbur and Lunette Rathbun, who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her husband, Danny, the love of her life, with whom she shared 24 years of beautiful memories. Pamela was a beacon of warmth, joy, and laughter. Her journey began in Herkimer, where she graduated from West Canada Valley Central School in 1965. Her academic pursuits led her to Virginia Commonwealth University, where she achieved a Bachelor's degree in 1984, followed by a Master's of Social Work in 1993. Her dedication to her education and profession was only matched by her devotion to her family. Pamela’s life was a tapestry of passions and adventures. She started her family early, and her children were her world. As Kim Settersten, Kristina Kubala (husband Dave), and Alex Kubala (wife Tina) grew, Pamela found her calling as a social worker—a role she embraced with the same fervor and compassion she gave to her family. Her grandchildren, Haley and Dylan Settersten, and Braeden and Canon Kubala, were the apples of her eye, and she cherished every moment with them. Pamela's laughter was infectious, her self-deprecating sense of humor endearing, and her zest for life unmatched. Whether she was hiking, playing games, or planning her next travel adventure, Pamela approached each day with enthusiasm and a readiness for new experiences. Her travels took her to many places, each journey adding another chapter to her well-lived life. Her brothers, Gary Rathbun (Debbie) and David Rathbun (Diana), along with several nieces and nephews, will miss her dearly. Pamela's legacy is one of love, kindness, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she met. In honoring Pamela’s memory, the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson Foundation, a cause she cared deeply about. Pamela's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and laughter. She will be remembered for her open heart, keen sense of adventure, and the joy she spread to all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us as we continue to celebrate the beautiful life she led. A memorial service to honor Pamela’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories, just as she would have wanted.
