With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pamela Avril Baaso, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 12, 2026, at the age of 87. Pamela was born on July 27, 1938, in Harrow, Middlesex, England, to her loving mother, Edith Elizabeth Davey. She was a beacon of light and warmth to all who knew her.
Pamela spent her formative years in Arvada, where she graduated from Arvada High School in 1956. It was here that she met the love of her life, Donald Baaso. The couple married on March 1, 1958, embarking on a beautiful journey that spanned 68 years. Together, they built a family filled with laughter and love, raising two cherished daughters, Linda Capan and Carrie Morrison.
Pamela's career blossomed after her children were grown, as she dedicated herself to working in real estate offices and volunteering with the city of Arvada. Her colleagues and community members remember her for her unwavering kindness and generosity. Pamela's laughter could light up a room, and her open heart was a refuge for many.
A woman of many talents, Pamela derived great joy from playing bridge and indulging her culinary passions in the kitchen. Her vegetable garden was a testament to her patience and dedication, with tomatoes being among her proudest harvests. Pamela also enjoyed the thrill of slot machines at local casinos and cherished the company of her feline companions, K.C., Sassy, and Zena.
Pamela's life was richly blessed with family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Baaso, and her daughters Linda Capan (George) and Carrie Morrison (Mark). Her brother, Colin Davey, and her grandchildren, Nicole Austin (Adam), Heather Petersen (Kyle), Kristen Capan (Sawyer), Grayson Capan, and Grant Capan (Littlesun), brought her immeasurable pride and joy. Pamela was also the adored great-grandmother to four precious great-grandchildren. She joins her mother, Edith Davey, and sister, Joan Boyce, in eternal peace.
Pamela's legacy is one of love, compassion, and resilience. Her memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. A private ceremony will be held to honor her life, in accordance with her family's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Pamela's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and kindness.
