It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Paisley "Paws" Jean Welch, who left us on May 10, 2026, at the tender age of 12. Born on March 21, 2014, in the cozy embrace of Georgetown, Kentucky, Paws was a beloved member of the Welch family, touching the lives of all who had the joy of knowing her. Paisley was the cherished daughter of Jason Welch and the late Stephanie Welch, who surely welcomed her with open arms on the other side. She was a treasured sister to Sydney and Brinkley Welch, and a beloved granddaughter to Jane Tackett and Shirley Welch. Though she has left us too soon, the imprint of her spirited life remains indelible in our hearts. Paws, as she was affectionately known, was a vibrant soul full of mischief and charm. Her education, one might say, was unconventional, as she was delightfully untrainable—a fact that she wore with pride. Her love for adventure knew no bounds, whether it was digging through the trash, barking at passersby, or making her presence known with her enthusiastic barks and the lively patter of her nails on the floor. In her own unique way, Paisley was both naughty and nice, a paradox wrapped in fur. Her hobbies included the simple joys of life, such as wearing cute outfits, hanging out with her sisters, and the occasional mischievous bite—always delivered with love, of course. She was especially fond of leaving little surprises around the house, much to the bemusement of her family. Despite her spirited antics, Paisley was a sweet and silly companion whose love was felt by all—well, perhaps not everyone, but certainly by those who mattered most. Her family recalls the warmth of her presence, the comfort of her snuggles, and the unique way she made every day brighter with her lazy yet lively demeanor. Paisley's family will forever miss the small but significant details that marked their days together: the sound of her nails clicking on the ground, the soft thud of her bed hitting the floor, and the pee pads that became a part of the household landscape. Her absence leaves a silence that resonates deeply, but her memory will continue to bring smiles and stories for years to come. In this time of remembrance, Paisley's family offers a special message, "Paws loved all of her family so much and she had a great relationship with everyone (maybe not everyone). Paws will be so missed, Paisley's family is going to miss her barking and the sound of her nails hitting the ground, her bed laying on the ground and all the pee pads around the house. She will never be forgotten. #LLP" As we say goodbye to Paisley, let us celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the laughter she inspired. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, a testament to a life lived with love and exuberance. Farewell, dear Paws. You may have left this world, but you will never leave our hearts. Rest in peace.
