Ottis' journey began in the warm embrace of Oakland, where he was born and later built a life full of love, joy, and service. In 1966, Ottis married the love of his life, Barbara Harris, embarking on a remarkable journey that spanned 60 beautiful years. Their union was blessed with eight children, each a testament to their shared values and unyielding commitment to family.
Ottis was a man of quiet strength and gentle wisdom, whose greatest pride was his family. He delighted in the laughter of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren, each of whom he cherished deeply. A celebration of Ottis' life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 12:30 PM at the Serenity Funeral Home, located at 1638 Sycamore View Rd, Memphis, TN 38134. Family and friends are invited to gather in honor of a man whose life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a soul that touched so many.
