November 16, 1942 — July 9, 2026

Oscar Palacios De Luna, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on November 16, 1942, in Laredo, Texas, Oscar was the cherished son of Maria Luisa Palacios and Luis De Luna. His passing marks the end of a remarkable life filled with love, service, and joy. Oscar was a proud veteran, having served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Air Force. His expertise in aircraft mechanics was a testament to his dedication and skill, a reflection of his passion for learning that began with the completion of both his high school and college education. A man of many talents, Oscar was known for his intelligence, independence, and friendly nature. His outgoing personality endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Oscar's greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished for generations. He is survived by his loving daughter, Delia Molina, and his two devoted sons, Daniel De Luna and David De Luna. Oscar was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. Oscar's legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and a deep commitment to those he loved. His family will hold a private funeral service to honor his memory, reflecting the intimate and personal connections that were so important to him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Oscar's memory to a charity of your choice. His life was a beacon of love and service, and this gesture would honor his generous spirit. While his physical presence will be greatly missed, Oscar's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing that he touched the lives of many and left the world a better place.
