Oscar Flores Bermudez
April 7, 1935 — May 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Oscar Flores Bermudez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on May 18, 2026. Oscar was born on April 7, 1935, in the picturesque town of Livingston Izabal, Guatemala, and his life journey took him through paths of love, dedication, and service that touched countless lives.
Oscar leaves behind a legacy of deep compassion and unwavering faith, cherished by his devoted wife of 65 years, Priscilla. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. He is survived by his children: his sons, Oscar and Giovanni, and their families, as well as his daughters, Yolanda, Ingrid, and Marlene, who all carry forward his spirit of kindness and strength. His memory lives on in the hearts of his 13 grandchildren—Peggy, Yannick, Erick, William, Alessandra, Sade, Yusuf, Hugh, Melchizedek, Gabriela, Joshua, Andre, and Lenora—and his 10 great-grandchildren, Bijan, Aaliyah, Charlotte, Gwendolyn, Gideon, Liam, Fabricio, Emilio, Denim, and Levy, who brought him endless joy and pride.
Predeceased by his beloved daughter Priscilla, Oscar now joins her in eternal peace, leaving behind a family that will forever honor his memory and the values he instilled in them.
Oscar's professional life was marked by his leadership and dedication. As the CEO of a successful Canadian exploration company in Guatemala, he demonstrated vision and integrity. His career as a skilled immigration consultant enabled him to help thousands achieve their dreams of legalization and naturalization, making a lasting impact on their lives and communities.
In his personal life, Oscar was a man of many passions. A devoted sports enthusiast, he found great joy in playing and coaching basketball in his younger years. His love for soccer was evident in his unwavering support for his favorite team, Club America, and his commitment to watching every World Cup. A boxing aficionado, Oscar never missed a fight, always accompanied by a bag of perfectly toasted peanuts.
Yet, beyond his achievements and interests, Oscar will be remembered most for his personal qualities. A faithful and God-fearing man, he was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a tender-hearted great-grandfather. His strength, wisdom, and deep love for his family were the cornerstones of his life. To those who knew him, Oscar was a source of comfort and guidance, and his legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire future generations.
We invite all who were touched by Oscar's life to join us in celebrating his remarkable journey and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. A memorial service will be held on June 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills, located at 9025 Cynthia Street, West Hollywood, CA 90069. Together, we will honor a life well-lived and a soul now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
Oscar Flores Bermudez will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of family and the grace of God.
