Born in the charming town of Jamestown, NY, Oscar graced this world with his presence on October 20, 1960. He embarked on his final journey peacefully at home on July 29, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of his devoted family. Oscar's life was a testament to kindness and generosity. He was known for his friendly and trustworthy nature, traits that made him a cherished figure in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His personable demeanor and ability to connect with people on a personal level endeared him to many, leaving a legacy of love and respect. A proud graduate of LaGuardia High School, class of 1978, Oscar possessed a deep appreciation for the arts, which manifested in his love for drawing. This passion for creativity was a reflection of his vibrant spirit and imagination. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Oscar found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing and taking long scenic drives that allowed him to connect with nature and reflect on life's beauty. Oscar shared his journey with his beloved partner, Elizabeth Johnson, with whom he formed a committed and loving bond from June 22, 2005. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Oscar was a devoted father to his children, Devona Lamb, Asia Lamb, and Jalisha Lamb, and a proud grandfather to his adored grandson, Legend Kelley, who brought immense joy to his life. A service to honor and celebrate Oscar's life will be held on August 9, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Ortiz Funeral Service, located at 4425 Broadway, New York, NY 10040. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a man well-loved. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Oscar's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Oscar's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew him, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
