Corky was a man of action, deeply involved in his community. A proud member of the Elk's Lodge in La Grande, he served as Executive Ruler, where he was instrumental in fostering a sense of camaraderie and community spirit. His deep faith was also a cornerstone of his life, and as an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hermiston, he ensured the American Flag flew proudly, reflecting his unwavering dedication to both his faith and his country.
Known for his generous heart, Corky dedicated numerous years to the Friday Backpack Program, a cause he held dear, ensuring that children in need had access to meals over the weekend. His kindness and commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Corky was predeceased by his cherished parents, James and Alice, his brother Charles Walker, and his sister Carolyn Wilson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his devoted wife Linda, his loving daughters Leslie Iturbide (John) and Cindy Plaza (Mark), his adoring grandchildren Amanda Cathey, Kiley Meza, Kody Plaza, Bradley Iturbide, and his precious great-granddaughter Alexis Ross.
