In Loving Memory of Orcinda "Cindy" Harris
September 6, 1960 - April 29, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Orcinda Harris, affectionately known as Cindy, who left this world far too soon on April 29, 2026. Born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, on September 6, 1960, Cindy was a beacon of warmth and kindness who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cindy was the beloved daughter of Virginia Bobo and Lewis Harris. Though she has now reunited with her parents and her dear brother Lawrence Norris in eternal rest, her legacy lives on through the profound impact she made during her time with us.
A devoted mother, Cindy leaves behind her cherished children: daughters Yesha Hill, Patrice Barnes, Brittiney Booker (Christopher), Bianca Feazell, and her beloved son Mieko Preyer. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love will forever be remembered by her siblings, sisters Paulette Norris, and brothers Armando Harris (Ashlynn) and Deon Crawford (Angie).
Cindy's heart overflowed with joy when surrounded by her 16 grandchildren: Xaria, Christah, Zoey, Zion, Hailey, Ramiyah, Kaleb, Naomi, Jaylen, Cenayah, Imahni, Bryson, Niylah, Maddox, Maxwell, and Malcolm. Each grandchild was a testament to the legacy of love she built, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Her passions were simple yet rich with meaning. Cindy was a woman of faith, and her love for church and gospel music was a testament to her spiritual resilience. She found delight in the simple pleasures of life, such as savoring good food, attending movies, or simply enjoying a snack. Never one to travel without her favorite treats, Cindy's zest for life was as infectious as her radiant smile.
Known for her beautiful and caring heart, Cindy was a woman who gave selflessly, often offering the shirt off her back to those in need. Her infectious personality and captivating stories drew people in, leaving them enriched and inspired. To know Cindy was to know persistence and tenacity, as she faced life's challenges with unwavering courage, never once considering surrender.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held on May 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Cooley's Funeral Home in Fresno, California. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love, resilience, and grace.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and calls during this challenging time. Your support is a testament to the many lives Cindy touched and the indelible mark she left on this world.
Rest in peace, dear Cindy. Your spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
