ORA "BELL EVANS

September 10, 1949 — June 2, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we commemorate the life of Ora "Bell" Evans, a cherished soul who departed this world on June 2, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 10, 1949, in the nurturing community of Amit County, Mississippi, Ora was a beacon of warmth, humor, and resilience, whose legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. Ora was the beloved daughter of Watkins Beasley and Cebell Watts, who instilled in her the values of kindness and strength. She was predeceased by her parents and her six siblings: Minnie P. Copeland, Patricia Beasley, Bobbie Jean Jackson, Kenny Beasley, Louise Beasley, and Ordell Beasley. Her family roots were deep, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. In the course of her life, Ora met and married the love of her life, the late Robert Lee Evans. Together, they embarked on a journey as a military family, which took them to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was here that Ora embraced her role as a devoted wife and nurturing mother to their two children, Renee Evans and Micheal Evans, who survive her and carry on her legacy of love and laughter. Ora's heart was as expansive as her joy, which she shared freely with her five grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Nothing delighted her more than spending time with them, whether it was sharing stories, laughing heartily, or engaging in playful antics. Her infectious spirit could light up any room, and her voice, filled with warmth and humor, was a constant reminder of the love that bound her family together. To her family and friends, Ora was more than just a mother and grandmother; she was a source of endless joy and wisdom. She had a unique gift for bringing people together, and her home was always filled with laughter, conversation, and the comforting presence of a woman who truly understood the art of living. Her hobbies—especially enjoying moments filled with laughter, sharing playful banter, and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—were a testament to her vibrant spirit and her unwavering dedication to family. Ora "Bell" Evans leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and an everlasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her voice will continue to echo in the hearts of her family and friends, a gentle reminder of the joy she brought into the world. Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those she loved. As we gather to celebrate Ora's life, we take comfort in knowing that she has found peace after a strong fight, embraced by the love of those who went before her. Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we echo, and the love we continue to spread in her honor. A private family service will be held to honor Ora's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice, celebrating Ora's spirit of giving and compassion. Rest in peace, dear Ora. You were loved beyond measure, and your memory will be cherished forever.
