Ollie Miles

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved Ollie (Sarrah) Miles, has transitioned to her heavenly home on August 4, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on January 20, 1942, in Greenwood, Mississippi, Ollie was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of all who knew her. She lived a valiant life and bravely fought cancer and left this world surrounded by family, love, and faith. Ollie was the cherished daughter of Annie Laura (Walker) Hannah and James Otis Hannah, both of whom predeceased her, along with her siblings Roscoe (Yahuda) Hannah, Ronnie Hannah, Joann Hannah, Pamela Hannah, and Betty Luckey, and her grandson Omni Jimenez. She is survived by her dear brother James Hannah and her eleven devoted children: Dahweed, Elisheba, Herecah, Shon, Nadarrah, Berachah, Shekenah, Kavalyah, Anayah Tucker, and Azariyah Tucker. Her legacy continues through her 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Ollie's journey began in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated from Medill Elementary and Crane High School, the place where she met her high school sweetheart, Clinton Miles. They married shortly after high school in 1961, and their union was blessed 2 beautiful Children. Ollie later welcomed 9 more children to round out her large, loving family with her valiantly at the helm. Her educational pursuits took her to Malcolm X College, where she studied child development, and later to St Johns School of the Arts in Florida, where she nurtured her passion for costume design. Ollie's career path was diverse and fulfilling. She began as a clerk at Woolworth, worked briefly in manufacturing, and served as a switchboard operator at Biggs and Biggs Funeral Home. Her final role in Chicago was as a receptionist for the Illinois Department of Unemployment before she dedicated herself to raising her family as a homemaker. After relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, Ollie found success as a self-employed inspector, a travel consultant, and a respite caregiver. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. A devout Yahshuan, Ollie was a devoted member of the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research, Inc. for 34 years, where she found truth and joy under the guidance of Dr. Jacqueline Neal. Her faith brought her peace and enduring friendships, and it is comforting to know that she is now eternally healed and whole in her new heaven new earth home in Yahshua. Ollie's warmth, creativity, and style were unmatched. Known as a fashionista, she delighted in decorating, designing,shopping, cooking, traveling, and spending cherished moments with family and friends. Her radiant smile and unique spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family kindly extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them through this difficult time with prayers, calls, and messages of love. Ollie's light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
