March 28, 1930 — November 5, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we announce the passing of Ollie Mae Wilson, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, who peacefully departed this world on November 5, 2026, at Homestead Assisted Living in Creston, Iowa. Born on March 28, 1930, in Princeton, Missouri, Ollie Mae lived a life marked by love, faith, and family. Ollie Mae was the cherished daughter of Orian and Rosa Nelson, and she graduated from Princeton High School in 1948. That same year, she found her spiritual home when she accepted Christ at the First Baptist Church in Bethany, Missouri. Her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life, providing her with a profound sense of peace and hope. On December 15, 1949, Ollie Mae married the love of her life, Bryant A. (Port) Wilson. Together, they created a loving home for their two sons, Ed and Joe, and later opened their hearts to their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ollie Mae and Bryant shared a passion for camping and made countless memories with family and friends in the great outdoors. Ollie Mae was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bryant, cherished sons Ed and Joe, and her siblings Sarah Stephens, Peggy Smith, Betty Lacy, Bob Nelson, and Joe Nelson. Her legacy lives on through her devoted daughter-in-law, Donna Wilson, her granddaughters Alisha Kelim (David) and Whitney Ngang (Divine), her step-grandson Brett Zinn, and her great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Calvin, and Parker Kelim, Janea Green-Ngang, Nevaeh, and Eli Ngang. She is also survived by her loving siblings Daisy Rion, Molly Ransom, Richard Nelson, Mary Ann Dravenstott, and Velma Sweeten. A host in the truest sense, Ollie Mae found joy in gathering her family around the dining table, where she spent countless hours in the kitchen preparing meals that nourished both the body and soul. She delighted in keeping up with the lives of her loved ones through pictures and posts, always eager to celebrate their achievements and milestones. Ollie Mae's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she often spoke of the great reunion she anticipated with her sons and Jesus in heaven. Her gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed. A private funeral service will be held to honor Ollie Mae's life and legacy. In remembrance of her generous spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory. As we bid farewell to Ollie Mae, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories that will forever be treasured by her family and friends.
