Oleh Czeryba September 12, 1957 – March 20, 2026 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Oleh Czeryba on March 20, 2026 at the age of 68. Oleh left us after a valiant battle with cancer, a testament to his enduring strength and resilience. Surrounded by love and care, he transitioned peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him. Born on September 12, 1957, to Ivan and Nina Czeryba (nee Kislenko), Oleh was raised in a family rich in Ukrainian tradition and was shaped by the values instilled by his parents, who preceded him in death, his father Ivan on September 10, 2000, and his mother Nina on June 29, 2009. He is also reunited with his beloved brother, Ihor Czeryba, who passed away on September 19, 2008. In his final weeks, Oleh received exceptional care from the dedicated palliative team at the Royal Victoria Hospital. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these compassionate caregivers, who provided not just medical attention, but also immense kindness and support during a challenging time. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Oleh's life. Donations for cancer research or a charity of your choice can be made to honor Oleh's enduring spirit.
