It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Odis Easley Jr, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who peacefully departed this life on May 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 12, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, Odis was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Odis was a man who found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. Known for his infectious smile that could light up any room, he was a devoted family man whose love for his family was unparalleled. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering love that will continue to inspire those who knew him. He is survived by his cherished children, Sheritha Hooker, Odis Easley, Daraniel Adley, and Chris Easley, as well as his beloved daughter-in-law, Deborah Lopez Adley, with whom he shared a special bond. His presence will be sorely missed by his sister, Debra Taylor, and his eleven grandchildren—Prince, Maurice, Princess, Bubba, A'niya, Juju, Daraniel Jr, L'Pirkle, Christopher, Chris Jr, and Lilliana—who brought him immense pride and joy. Odis was also blessed with twenty great-grandchildren, and a large extended family of numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts. Odis found great satisfaction in working with his hands, spending countless hours working on cars, washing them to a gleaming shine, and caring for the lawns of family and neighbors. His dedication to these tasks was but a reflection of his commitment to those he loved. A true friend to many, he relished sitting outside in the company of friends, where laughter and jokes flowed freely, creating memories that will be treasured by all. A celebration of Odis's life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Mitchell St COGIC, located at 2708 Mitchell St, Dallas, TX 75210. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life lived with grace, laughter, and love. In remembering Odis Easley Jr, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man who touched the lives of many with his generous spirit and heartfelt smile. His memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew him.
