With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Octaviano Soto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend, who departed this life on August 25, 2026, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 80. Born on April 6, 1946, in Acuna, Coahuila Mexico. Octaviano lived a full and vibrant life, deeply rooted in love, family, and community. The son of Octaviano Soto Sr. and Teadora Delgado, Octaviano was a man of many talents and passions. He found his calling in mechanics and welding, professions in which he excelled and took great pride. Known for his ability to fix or build nearly anything, Octaviano's work was a testament to his craftsmanship and dedication. Octaviano married the love of his life, Rosa Maria Garcia Soto, on June 8, 1977. Together, they created a close-knit family, woven together with threads of love and shared experiences. Though Rosa Maria preceded him in death, their union remains a shining example of devotion and partnership. An ardent lover of the outdoors, Octaviano enjoyed fishing and camping trips, often gathering his family for these cherished adventures. His culinary skills were second to none, and his ability to bring people together over a delicious meal was legendary. The smoky aroma of his cookouts will linger in the memories of those who loved him. Octaviano's legacy is carried on by his beloved children: Zenaida Sanchez and husband Valdemar of Fort Worth, Bainey Soto of Fort Worth, Octaviano Soto and wife Sandy of Odessa, Juan G. Soto of Fort Worth, Patricia Ramos of Big Spring, and Mara Elizondo and husband Ben of Fort Worth. He leaves behind 25 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is welcomed into eternal rest by his parents, his cherished wife Rosa Maria, siblings, his children Margarita Hernandez Soto and Noah Soto, and his grandson Gabriel Soto. May their spirits find peace together.
