OCTAVIA MUHAMMED

May 10, 1960 — July 16, 2026

It is with deep reverence and heartfelt affection that we announce the passing of Octavia Muhammed, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to love and resilience. Octavia departed this world on July 16, 2026, at the age of 66, in the warm embrace of her beloved family. Born on May 10, 1960, in Louisiana, Octavia was the beloved daughter of Shirley and Collins. Octavia's life was a vibrant tapestry of family, love, and unwavering strength. She was predeceased by her loving parents and nine treasured siblings, whose memories she held dear. Octavia's journey was marked by the profound love she shared with her surviving family, which includes her devoted husband, Victor U. Muhammed, whom she married on October 10, 1980. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and joy. Octavia was the proud and loving mother of nine children, who were her greatest joys. Her legacy of love extends through her family tree, with three grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren, each a testament to the life and love she imparted. Her devotion to family was matched by her kindness to her ten nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart. Though Octavia's life on this earth has concluded, her spirit and passion continue to live on in those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her family embraces her wish: "Do not mourn me, celebrate the love and passion I lived with... Queenie." In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Octavia's generous spirit. As we remember Octavia, let us celebrate the love, strength, and passion that defined her life. Her legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her, and her memory will continue to inspire us to live with love and compassion.
