Obimba Augustine Okorie Elias "Bull"

August 12, 1969 — June 11, 2026

Obimba Augustine Okorie Elias, affectionately known as "Bull," passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026, following a courageous battle with a protracted illness. Born on August 12, 1969, in Orieagu, Imo-State, Nigeria, Obimba was a cherished son of the late Dick and Maria Okorie. Obimba's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and community spirit. He was a devoted husband to Ijeoma Obimba Okorie, with whom he shared a life full of joy and love. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Miss Nkechi Obimba Okorie, Miss Blessing Obimba Okorie, and Master Iheanyi Obimba Okorie. His siblings, Engr Iweha Okorie, High Chief Kingsley Okorie, Okezie (Taiwo) Okorie, and Evangeline Okorie, shared in the joy of his life and now mourn his passing. His educational journey began at Abai Umucham Elementary School, followed by Ikorodu High School in Lagos State, where he started in 1982. His career took him to Cotonou, where he joined his brother at Hands Global Import and Export Cotonou as a marketing manager from 1992 to 2004. Known for his diligence and integrity, Obimba returned to Nigeria to work with Daddio Farm Ltd, serving as marketing manager until his health necessitated an early retirement. Obimba was not only a successful professional but also a pillar in his community. He was an active member of the CAC Church Amuzi-Amankwo in Uzuakoli and participated in various social clubs and community groups, including the Amankwo age grade. His warm smile and welcoming nature endeared him to many, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was known for his reliability, often sent on errands and always providing an accurate account of all purchases. As we remember Obimba, we celebrate a life well-lived—one that brought light and love to those around him. His legacy of kindness and integrity will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in Obimba's memory.
