With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of a beloved father, son, and friend, Nyzier Cannon Wilson Sr., who left this world far too soon on February 28, 2025, at the age of 26. Born on November 29, 1998, in Wilmington, Nyzier was the cherished son of Dyniesha Cannon and William Wilson. His short but impactful life was a testament to resilience, love, and an unwavering commitment to family. From a young age, Nyzier displayed a generosity of spirit and a zest for life that touched everyone he encountered. His laughter was infectious, his kindness was genuine, and his ability to see the good in people was extraordinary. Nyzier carried these qualities into every aspect of his life, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Nyzier's greatest pride and joy were his children: Semaj, Nyzier Jr., and A’sa Cannon. As a devoted father, he poured his heart into creating a nurturing home filled with love, laughter, and learning. His children were his world, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and growth. He taught them the importance of kindness, perseverance, and the value of family, lessons that they will carry with them throughout their lives. Beyond his dedication to his family, Nyzier was known for his passion for helping others. Whether it was through volunteer work, lending a listening ear, or offering a helping hand, Nyzier was always there for those in need. His selflessness and compassion were a source of inspiration to many, and his legacy will continue to inspire acts of kindness in his memory. Nyzier's vibrant presence will be deeply missed by his surviving family members: his loving parents, Dyniesha and William, and his beloved children, Semaj, Nyzier Jr., and A’sa. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with him and the knowledge that his spirit will live on in the lives of those he touched. A service to honor and celebrate the life of Nyzier Cannon Wilson Sr. will be held on March 9, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Congo Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were enriched by knowing him are invited to join us in remembering and paying tribute to a truly remarkable man. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Nyzier's memory to local charities supporting children and families in need, continuing his legacy of compassion and generosity.
