With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Nykole Alaina Phillips-Brenevidez, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and love. Nykole departed this world on April 12, 2026, at the age of 37, after bravely battling cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family in Providence, Rhode Island, the place where her vibrant journey began on September 23, 1988.
Nykole was the beloved daughter of Michael and Patricia Carparco of Brooklyn, New York, whose unwavering support and love were the cornerstones of her life. She was also the treasured granddaughter of Charles and Patricia Brenevidez of Warwick, Rhode Island, who instilled in her values that guided her throughout her life.
Her legacy is carried forward by her adored daughter, Kayla Phillips of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and her devoted fiancé, David Cooper of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Nykole’s family extended beyond traditional bounds, embracing several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Nykole was predeceased by her beloved children, Lucas, Arianna Barbara, and Iliana Patricia Cooper, whose memories she cherished deeply and whose spirits were a constant source of strength during her difficult days.
In her professional life, Nykole excelled as a Nurse Practitioner, a role in which her nurturing nature and dedication to helping others shone brightly. Her passion for caregiving extended beyond her career, as she opened her home and heart to 28 foster children, providing them with love, stability, and a sense of belonging. Her compassion and kindness left an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched, including the families of the children she fostered.
Nykole's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, honoring her wishes for an intimate farewell surrounded by those she held dear. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, a cause close to Nykole's heart.
As we bid farewell to Nykole, we are reminded of her strength and the warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever be etched in our hearts. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived, forever grateful for the time we were privileged to share with her.
