February 5, 1932 — September 21, 2026

In loving memory of Nurcia Jackson, born on February 5, 1932, in the serene Askenish district of Hanover, Jamaica, who peacefully departed this life on September 21, 2026. Nurcia was the beloved daughter of Mr. Levi and Leah Thorpe, and though she has left this world, her spirit lives on through the many lives she touched with kindness and grace. Nurcia shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Masphen Jackson, with whom she celebrated over 40 years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a loving family of nine children, eight devoted daughters, and one son. Her legacy continues through her 28 cherished grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Nurcia is also survived by five siblings, who along with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. Educated at the Askenish All Age School, Nurcia's commitment to her community was evident in her years of service as a community Health Aid. Her dedication to helping others was matched by her unwavering faith as a devoted member of the Church of the Living God. Her favorite Psalm, Psalm 127, was a testament to her belief in family and faith as the foundation of a meaningful life. Nurcia’s vibrant personality shone through her great sense of humor and her loving nature. An avid reader of the Bible, she found joy in sharing its teachings with others, often visiting neighbors who needed her care and comfort. Her sewing skills and gentle spirit were gifts she freely shared with all who knew her. A service celebrating Nurcia's life will be held on November 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the One Way Chapel Church of The Living God, located in Mt. Pleasant, Hanover, Jamaica. The family has expressed a preference for donations to be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all of Nurcia's caregivers, her children, her church family, and all well-wishers who supported her throughout her life. Nurcia Jackson’s life was a testament to the power of love, community, and faith. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
