His life was a testament to the values instilled in him by his loving parents, who preceded him in death, as did his beloved sister, Marilyn Haygood. Norris shared a remarkable 69-year journey with his devoted wife, Mary, who survives him. Their marriage was a testament to unwavering love and partnership, inspiring all who had the privilege of witnessing their union. Together, they built a beautiful family, nurturing a legacy that will continue to flourish through their two sons, Kenneth (Jean) O’Neal and Byron O’Neal, as well as their three granddaughters: Jennifer LeJeune, Terri Thibodaux, and Lauren Conger (Robert). Norris was a man of great character and integrity, values he imparted to his family. He relished the simple joys of life, finding happiness in the laughter of his grandchildren and the comfort of family gatherings. His wisdom and warmth were a guiding light to those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed. Throughout his life, Norris was known for his kindness, humility, and dedication to his community. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes about his love for his family and friends. His legacy is one of strength, compassion, and an unyielding commitment to those he held dear. A celebration of Norris's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Greenspan’s. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man whose life touched so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Norris’s memory to a charity of your choice, continuing his legacy of generosity and care. Norris Wade O’Neal will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His life was a blessing, and he leaves behind a world made better by his presence.
