Born on February 9, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Norman was the beloved son of Norman and Florence Stell. A lifelong resident of his birthplace, Norman's roots in the community ran deep, and his legacy will continue to inspire those he touched throughout his remarkable life.
A proud graduate of Douglas High School in 1960, Norman was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his community. After high school, he embarked on a journey that would lead him to meet the love of his life, Geraldine Finney. The couple wed on April 22, 1964, embarking on a devoted and loving partnership that spanned 62 wonderful years. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family and shared countless memories, laughter, and adventures.
Norman was the proud father of four sons: Norman Stell IV, Damon Stell, Borman Stell (Alyson), and Phillip Stell (Kim). His legacy is further carried on by his cherished seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will remember him as a guiding force full of wisdom and warmth. Norman's family was the cornerstone of his life, and his love for them was boundless.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine, his sons, his sister, Cecile Stell-Martin, and his brother, Stanley Stell. Norman was predeceased by his parents, his brother Melvin Moore, and his sisters, Mattie Stell-Hopkins and Francine Smith. Despite the loss of these loved ones, Norman's spirit remained resilient, and he found solace in the love and support of his family and friends.
Throughout his life, Norman was an embodiment of kindness, humility, and a strong work ethic. His wisdom and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. Whether through his dedication to his family, his community involvement, or the countless lives he touched, Norman's legacy will endure, reminding us of the power of love and kindness.
