Norman Joseph Girard Isherwood
November 24, 1961 — August 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Joseph Girard Isherwood, who left us on August 7, 2026. Born in Windsor, Ontario, on November 24, 1961, Norm was the cherished son of the late Edward and Irene Isherwood. His life was a testament to kindness, love, and quiet strength.
Norman was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. Known for his unwavering support and willingness to lend a helping hand, he was a pillar in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. His humor brought warmth to many, and his love for his family was boundless and enduring.
He shared 31 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Rosalba Isherwood (nee Macaluso), whose partnership filled his life with joy and companionship. Together, they raised two remarkable sons, Adam (married to Liz) and Matthew, who were his pride and joy, reflecting his values of integrity and compassion.
Norman's journey in education began with his high school graduation, followed by further studies in Law and Security at Trios, paving the way for a fulfilling 30-year career at Chrysler Windsor Assembly. His dedication to his work was matched only by his passion for life.
An avid San Francisco 49ers fan, Norman found joy in the thrill of the game, and he shared his love of sports with his family and friends. He was a devoted reader of Stephen King novels, finding adventure and mystery within their pages. Music by Garth Brooks often filled his home, creating a soundtrack of fond memories. His pride and delight in his 2018 Hellcat were well-known among those who loved him.
Though preceded in death by his first wife, Myra Isherwood (nee Labbe), Norman's legacy of love and kindness lives on through his surviving family. His memory will forever be cherished by them and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Windsor Goodfellows, an organization close to Norman's heart, where support for those in need continues in his honor.
Norman's life was a rich tapestry of love, laughter, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
