Obituary of Norman Frederick Royce It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Frederick Royce, who departed this life peacefully at home on June 28, 2026, at the age of 59, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 26, 1966, in St. Albans, Vermont, Norman was a cherished son of Wayne Gale Royce and Joann Daigneault. He was predeceased by his beloved brother, Stephen Royce, who now joins him in eternal rest. Norman was a devoted husband to Lori Royce, with whom he shared a remarkable 20-year journey filled with love and companionship. Together, they built a beautiful life, creating a close-knit family that Norman held dear to his heart. He was a proud and loving father to Dylan and Tiffany Randall, and Erica and Joah Linkins, who will forever cherish his memory and the life lessons he imparted. In addition to his wife and children, Norman is survived by his siblings, David and Cheryl Royce, Naomi and Dale Chance, and Emma and Tom Aiken, who admired his steadfast spirit and unwavering support. He was also the adored grandfather of three precious grandchildren: Wyatt, Parker, and Dawson, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. A proud graduate of Richford High School, class of 1984, Norman's early years were marked by a deep sense of duty and service. He dedicated 15 years of his life to the Army National Guard, where he served with distinction as a Tank Commander and Sergeant. Norman's bravery and leadership were evident during his tour in Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991, where he earned the respect and camaraderie of his fellow service members. In the latter part of his life, Norman found fulfillment in a career as a truck driver, navigating the roads with the same dedication and commitment he displayed in all areas of his life. He continued his work until his health no longer permitted, demonstrating resilience and a tireless work ethic that inspired those around him. Norman's life was a testament to the virtues of loyalty, kindness, and humility. His gentle spirit and warm heart touched everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on his community and loved ones. A private funeral service to honor Norman's life will be held on July 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM. While the ceremony will be intimate, his family appreciates the outpouring of love and support from friends and neighbors during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Norman's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to his generous and giving nature. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find solace in the memories we shared with Norman, a remarkable man who lived a life full of love, service, and devotion. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
