It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Kay Robison Blinco Plumlee, who gracefully left this world on June 12, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on August 12, 1943, in Odessa, Texas, Kay’s life was a vibrant testament to resilience, warmth, and generosity. The daughter of the late Pete and Sally Robison, Kay was a spirited presence grounded by her West Texas roots. A proud graduate of Andrews High School, class of 1961, she later pursued her passion for helping others by earning a nursing degree from Midland College in 1985. Kay dedicated her career to the service of others, working at Midland Memorial Hospital and PnS before retiring from the state of Texas in 2003. Her colleagues and patients remember her as a compassionate caregiver whose kindness and empathy left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Kay’s life was enriched by the love she shared with her husband, Larry Plumlee, whom she married on July 11, 1997, in Chalmette, Louisiana. Together, they spent nearly three decades cherishing each other's company, creating a home filled with laughter and love. An adventurer at heart, Kay found joy in the open road, relishing the freedom of riding her motorcycle through the picturesque Texas Hill Country. She also adored fishing, seizing every opportunity to cast a line and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Kay was a woman of strong convictions, known for her outspoken nature and remarkable generosity. Her words could elevate your spirit, making you feel as though you were on top of the world. Her unwavering kindness touched the lives of many and left a legacy of love and compassion. Kay was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pete and Sally Robison, and her sons, James and Chandler Blinco. She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Plumlee; her sons, Mitch Blinco, and Russel Plumlee and his wife Leah; her sisters, Brenda Rapp and Sherry Challis; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to carry her legacy forward. In her memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Hospice of Midland, an organization emblematic of the care and comfort Kay valued throughout her life. As we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, we also celebrate a life well-lived. Kay’s spirit, characterized by kindness, strength, and adventure, will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
