Norma Jeane Rabbi

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Jeane Rabbi, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Norma left us on July 20, 2026, surrounded by her family and the love she tirelessly nurtured throughout her life. She was born on December 1, 1959, in the small yet vibrant town of Las Vegas, New Mexico, to the late Joseph and Sophie Ortega. Her parents Joseph and Sophie Ortega also welcomed her into eternal peace, along with her brother Marty Ortega and grandson Robert Trujillo. Norma's life was a testament to the values instilled by her parents: kindness, creativity, and an unyielding dedication to family. Norma is survived by her devoted husband, Rabbi, with whom she shared 17 wonderful years. Their partnership was a source of strength and joy, a bond that inspired all who knew them. She was the proud and loving mother of her three children: Tiffany and her husband Matt, Venessa and her husband Al, and Robert and his wife Carmen. Norma's legacy continues through her twelve cherished grandchildren—Matty, Gage, Matthew, Riley, Madeline, Marcos and his wife Amber, Shane and his wife Theresa, Mario and his wife Adriana, Adelyn, Alicia, Aliana, and Joseph—as well as her great-grandchildren Anthony, Jason, and Rowan. Each of them carries forward the warmth and love she imparted to them. Norma's passion for crafting was well-known among her family and friends. She spent countless hours creating beautiful blankets, each one a unique masterpiece made with love for her grandchildren. These blankets, now treasured heirlooms, are a testament to Norma's creativity and the love she had for her family. A service to celebrate Norma's life will be held on August 24, 2026, Rosary at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, located at 100 S Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering Norma and the indelible mark she left on their lives. Norma Jeane Rabbi will be dearly missed, but her light and legacy will forever shine in the hearts of those she touched. Her love was a gift to us all, a reminder of the beauty in the simple act of caring for one another.
