Norma passed away peacefully at home, enveloped by the love and comfort of her cherished family, at the age of 94. Born on November 30, 1931, to Etta and Floyd Hundley, Norma grew up in a nurturing household that instilled in her a deep love for family. This love became a guiding force throughout her life, defining her every action and relationship. Norma was predeceased by her devoted husband, Warren McCall, with whom she shared a life of unwavering love and companionship since their marriage on November 2, 1964. Together, they built a family that would become her greatest pride and joy. Norma was also preceded in death by a son, four brothers, one sister, and a grandchild. Despite these losses, she remained a pillar of strength and a source of comfort to those around her. Her enduring spirit was a testament to her resilience and the unconditional love she held for her family. She is survived by her five loving daughters: Kathy Bufe, Vicky Ellery, Lela Haines, Penney Nunn, and Mary Leith. Norma's family was the center of her world, and she took immense pleasure in watching it grow. Her legacy lives on in her 34 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries forward her values of love, kindness, and family unity. Norma also leaves behind her dear sisters, Dee Hanna and Lois Burgess, who shared many joyful adventures with her over the years. From their travels from Boston to California to their lively escapades in Las Vegas, the bond between Norma and her sisters was unbreakable and filled with laughter and cherished memories. An avid reader, Norma never missed the next book in a series, finding solace and excitement within the pages of countless novels. Her love for literature was matched only by her love for exploration, as her travels across the country allowed her to connect with family and friends, creating a tapestry of cherished moments and stories. Norma Jean McCall was known for her warmth, generosity, and the unwavering love she bestowed upon her family. Her home was a haven of hospitality, where everyone felt welcomed, valued, and loved. Her legacy is one of compassion, strength, and an unyielding devotion to those she held dear. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we find solace in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide us, and her love will forever be a part of our lives. A private family service will be held to honor her life, and we ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Norma's memory to a charity close to her heart. Norma's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all who have reached out with love and support during this difficult time. May we all continue to carry forward her legacy of love and kindness in our own lives.
