God called her home, yet her spirit remains with us, a cherished beacon of love and devotion. Norine was born on September 6, 1955, in Peekskill, New York, to Arthur and Vivian McGriff, who have since preceded her in death, along with her beloved sisters, Cornelia McGriff and Janice Hines.
Norine was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering commitment, both to her family and her faith. She is survived by her loving children, Donielle Clayton, Dion Clayton, Jessica Doughty, DeSean Morrow, and DaJuan Morrow, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy of love continues through her cherished four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Arthur McGriff, Debra Daniels, and Yvette Turner, who will forever remember her warmth and kindness.
A brilliant mind and dedicated scholar, Norine earned her degree in Math with a specialization in Computer Science from Mercy College, an achievement that propelled her into a fulfilling career with the Westchester County Department of Social Services. For 30 years, she served with integrity and a steadfast commitment to helping others, impacting countless lives with her compassionate spirit.
Norine's faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through the many chapters of her journey. As the former International Bible Way Church of Jesus Christ Missionary President, she led with grace, inspiring all those around her with her dedication to service and her unwavering belief in the power of community and prayer.
Those who knew Norine will remember her as a woman of extraordinary dedication to her family and church. Her nurturing soul, infectious laughter, and gentle wisdom created a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her presence.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Norine's life, reflecting her family's wishes for an intimate celebration of her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to the Lupus Foundation, an organization close to Norine's heart.
Though Norine has left this earthly realm, her spirit will forever illuminate the lives of those she loved. Her life was a testament to the beauty of a soul dedicated to faith, family, and the betterment of others. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as her legacy continues to resonate through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
