Born on August 24, 1943, in Starkville, Mississippi, she was the cherished daughter of William Thomas and Retha Robinson Mann, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance that she carried throughout her life. Nora dedicated her life to caring for others, a calling she fulfilled with grace and compassion. After obtaining her Associates Degree in Nursing, she worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Baptist Hospital in Columbus. Her colleagues and patients alike admired her unwavering dedication and gentle spirit, which left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. One of Nora's proudest accomplishments was returning to school to complete her degree at an advanced age. This achievement exemplified her determination and love for learning. Her family and friends were inspired by her commitment to education and personal growth, reflecting her belief that it is never too late to pursue one's dreams. Outside of her professional life, Nora found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending quiet moments with a good book. She also delighted in solving word search puzzles, a pastime that kept her mind sharp and engaged.
