It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nor Xiong Thao, who left this world on September 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on April 23, 1963, in the United States to Johnny Xiong and Mai Vang, Nor lived a life full of love, dedication, and kindness. Nor was the beloved spouse of David Thao, with whom she shared a life rich in love and partnership. Together, they cultivated not only a family but also a legacy of resilience and unity. Their journey was blessed with three wonderful children, Daisy Thao, Seng Thao, and Eric Thao, who carry forward her spirit and values. Her love was further multiplied with the joy of five cherished grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring legacy. Throughout her life, Nor demonstrated an unyielding work ethic as a dedicated farmer. Her hands, weathered by the earth, nurtured and sustained both her family and community. Her commitment to her craft was a reflection of her deep connection to the land and the nurturing spirit she embodied. Nor’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of compassion, strength, and grace. She was a beacon of warmth and generosity, always offering a helping hand or a kind word to those in need. Her laughter and gentle spirit will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her beloved parents, Johnny Xiong and Mai Vang, who instilled in her the values of perseverance and love that she carried throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her devoted family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments shared and the lessons learned. A service to celebrate Nor's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Moon Sun Memorial. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Nor are invited to join in honoring her remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in memory of Nor Xiong Thao. Her legacy of giving back and caring for others will continue through these generous acts. Nor Xiong Thao’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and community. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible life she led and the indelible mark she left on all of us. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
