Nona M. Bolar
March 9, 1934 — September 20, 2026
In loving memory of Nona Jefferson Bolar, who passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on September 20, 2026. Born on March 9, 1934, in Bluff City, Arkansas, Nona was the cherished daughter of Obie Jefferson and Dora Rochelle Jefferson. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and an unwavering spirit that touched all who knew her.
Nona's journey through life was marked by her dedication to her family and her steadfast commitment to her community. As a devoted mother, she poured her heart into raising her three beloved children, Karyn B., Keith A., and Diron W. (Carla) Bolar, who all reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her nurturing spirit and wisdom left an indelible mark on her seven grandchildren, among whom Gregory Hill and Marquios Hodge, who preceded her in death, hold a special place in her memory. Kamry, Keith Bolar, Simone D., Aaron A., and Alexander J. Bolar continue to carry forward her legacy with pride.
Nona's family extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was a beloved sister to four siblings and a treasured aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Her warmth and kindness resonated deeply within her community, creating bonds that will endure for generations to come.
A woman of faith, Nona was a devoted member of Beulah Baptist Church, where her spirit will be celebrated in a memorial service on October 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather at 1834 Section Road, Cincinnati, to honor and remember a life well-lived.
Nona's love for her family was matched by her passion for service. In her memory, the family encourages donations to the African American Alzheimer's and Wellness Association, an organization dedicated to causes close to her heart. The association is located in Westerville, Ohio.
As we say goodbye to Nona, we remember her grace and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy is carried forward by her five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who will continue to walk in her footsteps, guided by the values she instilled.
Nona Jefferson Bolar's light will forever shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
