Noel James Pierre
December 16, 1951 — July 7, 2026
Noel James Pierre, lovingly known as "Santana," passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, at his home in Brooklyn, New York.
He was born on December 16, 1951, in Woodbrook, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, to his loving mother, Sybil Pierre, and his late father, Evral Pierre. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Errol and Brian.
Noel attended All Saints Anglican School and began his working career at Ju-C Soft Drink Company in Trinidad. After migrating to the United States, he continued his career as a messenger and later worked as a security guard until his retirement.
Noel was a man who embraced life through music, laughter, and culture. He enjoyed singing, dancing, playing the guitar, and sharing his love for his Trinidadian culture. A proud and talented double tenor steel pan player with the T&TEC Power Stars Steel Pan Orchestra, Noel's passion for music allowed him to perform and travel, including memorable experiences in Nigeria and the United States. His love for steelpan and music will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Noel leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Kimberly; his grandchildren, Zavier and Kemuel; his devoted mother, Sybil; his brothers, Selwyn and Ralph; his aunt; Yvonne, Jocelyn, Gloria and Grace, his nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Noel will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of music, and the joy he shared with everyone around him. Though he has left this earthly life, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Forever loved, forever remembered. Rest in eternal peace.
