In Loving Memory

NOEL BIEBL
October 16, 1942 — April 21, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Noel Biebl, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Born on October 16, 1942, in Gibbon, Minnesota, Noel departed this life on April 21, 2026. He was the cherished son of Howard and Blanche Biebl and grew up in the warm embrace of a loving family.
Noel was a proud graduate of Gibbon High School and furthered his education at the University of Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. His academic pursuit was briefly interrupted by his honorable service in the U.S. Navy, where he reached the rank of LTG and was stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam. During his service, he was recognized with the Navy award for his distinguished contributions.
Throughout his career, Noel was a dedicated civil engineer. He spent many fulfilling years with Paper Calmenson before advancing to Laser Machining in Somerset, WI, where he led the organization as president. His professional journey was marked by innovation and leadership, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and the industry.
Noel married the love of his life, Jan Jensen, in 1960, and together they built a family rooted in love and laughter. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jan, and their children: daughter Kris Lundquist, along with her children Eric and Nicole, and son Jeff, with his children Maggey, Lindsey, Cameron, and Austin. Noel's legacy also lives on through his brother Jon and his family, including Laura, Michael, Katie, Jenny, and Abby. He leaves behind a brother-in-law, Bill Pierce, and cousins Dick and Jane, as well as numerous friends and coworkers who enriched his life.
Noel was predeceased by his dear parents, Howard and Blanche, his sister Holly, and his granddaughter Rachel. Their memories remained ever-present in his heart, guiding him throughout his life.
In addition to his professional achievements, Noel was known for his inventive spirit and love for tinkering. His engineering mind found joy in creating unique tools, much to the delight and occasional skepticism of those around him. His creations, though unconventional, always proved effective, reflecting his intuitive understanding of the world.
Noel had a rare gift for connecting with people. His genuine interest in others and his remarkable ability to find common ground, regardless of background, endeared him to all who crossed his path. His signature question, "So, where did you grow up?" often sparked lively conversations and forged lasting connections.
A celebration of Noel’s life will be held on May 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Roseville Lutheran Church, located at 1215 Roselawn Ave W, Saint Paul, MN 55113. Noel's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who attended to his medical needs, offering care and compassion in his final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Noel's memory, as a tribute to his generous spirit and enduring kindness. Noel's impact on those who knew him is immeasurable, and he will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched. May his memory be a blessing and an inspiration to us all.
