In Loving Memory

Noammi Yaxew
December 27, 1990 — December 3, 2018
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Noammi Yaxew Roberts, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, who left this world on December 3, 2018, at the age of 27, after a courageous battle with stage four bone cancer. Noammi was born on December 27, 1990, in the warm embrace of Columbus, Ohio, a city she would call home throughout her life.
Noammi was the cherished daughter of Alexius and Yeanne Yaxew, who held her close in their hearts and now dearly miss her. She was a devoted sister to her three loving sisters, who shared countless treasured moments with her. Her journey was enriched by the love and companionship of her husband, James Roberts, whom she married on August 10, 2015. Their union was marked by joy and laughter, and together they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Hannah, into the world on May 11, 2016. Though Hannah's life was heartbreakingly brief, her memory remains eternally cherished by her parents.
Noammi's educational journey began at Columbus High School, where she graduated in 2008. She pursued higher education at Cincinnati State University, a place that not only nurtured her intellect but also led her to James, her soulmate and partner in life's adventures.
Noammi's heart was as profound as her dedication to causes close to her soul. She was an active member of the Sister's Pageant, where her grace and kindness shone brightly. Her involvement with the Columbus Hospital's Cancer Awareness Group was a testament to her unwavering commitment to helping others navigate the challenges of cancer with dignity and hope.
A lover of beauty in all its forms, Noammi had an innate talent for seeing and enhancing beauty in others. She participated in numerous pageants, not for the accolades, but to inspire and elevate others, allowing them to thrive in their true beauty. Her compassion and warmth touched everyone she met, as she consistently put her heart into everything she did. Her kindness, dedication, and ability to make others feel valued were the qualities that made Noammi truly unique and special.
In accordance with her family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Noammi's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, allowing her legacy of love and kindness to continue in meaningful ways.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who stood by Noammi, offering support and love during her most challenging times. Your presence in her life was a testament to the community of care that enveloped her.
Noammi Yaxew Roberts leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love, and unyielding strength. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will be felt for years to come by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
