In Loving Memory

Noah Goodman-Patterson
August 16, 2006 — June 5, 2026
With profound sadness and tender remembrance, we announce the passing of Noah Goodman-Patterson, who departed this world peacefully at his home on June 5, 2026. Born on August 16, 2006, in Virginia, Noah graced this world with his presence for nearly twenty wonderful years.
Noah was the cherished son of Dyah Goodman and David Patterson, who raised him in a home filled with love and unwavering support. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he shared a close bond with his siblings, Dreu Patterson, Tori Patterson, Joseph Tate Patterson, and Robert Chance Patterson, who survive him and will forever hold him in their hearts.
A bright light in the lives of many, Noah graduated with pride from Shenandoah Valley Academy in May 2024. He was diligently pursuing a bachelor's degree in emergency management, a testament to his desire to make a positive impact in the world. Noah's academic journey was complemented by his brief but meaningful work at the Cogen Power Plant, where he demonstrated a strong work ethic and a dedication to learning. His future was promising, with an internship awaiting him upon completion of his training, a step he was eagerly anticipating.
Noah’s faith was a guiding force in his life. He was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Woodbridge, where he found community and purpose. His passion for basketball was well-known; he played with vigor as a part of the Pacific Union College Basketball team, constantly striving to improve and excel in the sport he loved.
Beyond his accomplishments and affiliations, Noah was celebrated for his esteemed character and the kindness he extended to others. He possessed a fierce loyalty to his friends and family, always striving to uplift those around him. His curiosity about the world and his love for family gatherings brought joy to those who knew him.
We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Noah's life on June 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the Woodbridge Seventh-Day Adventist Church, located at 14605 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, VA 20112. In honoring Noah, we remember and cherish the light he brought into our lives, a sentiment eloquently captured in the words of John Steinbeck: “It’s so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.”
Noah’s light may have dimmed too soon, but the warmth of his spirit will forever illuminate the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, dear Noah, knowing you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
