Noah Charles Outlaw Sr
February 11, 1945 — October 17, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and deep respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Noah Charles Outlaw Sr. at his home on October 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of his cherished family. Born on February 11, 1945, in Windsor, North Carolina, Noah lived a life full of love, service, and dedication.
The son of George Outlaw and Erma Singleton, Noah was predeceased by his beloved parents, his daughter Julie Outlaw, his son Noah Outlaw, and his siblings George Outlaw, Willie Outlaw, Edward Outlaw, and Mary Piner. Despite these profound losses, Noah's spirit remained resilient, and he continued to be a source of strength and inspiration to those around him.
Noah is survived by his devoted children: Chamarcra Twain (Joseph), Julette Sanderlin (TeShawn), Carthenia Outlaw (Kofi Aboagye-Mensah), Thelma Outlaw, Samuel Outlaw (Debbie), and Shakeila Outlaw (Robert Barry Hoyle). He also leaves behind a legacy of love in his 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, who will forever remember him as a guiding light in their lives.
In 1965, Noah married his first love, Lucy Outlaw, with whom he shared a wonderful life and raised eight children. Later in life, he found love again with Peggy Davis, welcoming two stepdaughters into his heart and family.
A graduate of Bertie High School in 1963, Noah went on to build a successful career as a truck driver with Preston Trucking Company, where he worked diligently for over 30 years before retiring in 1999. His commitment and work ethic were admired by all who knew him.
Noah's passion for service extended beyond his work; he was the founder of the Miracle Temple Non-Denominational Church, where he dedicated his time and energy to fostering a community of faith and support. His love for his community was as boundless as his passion for the Washington Redskins Football Team, which he supported with unwavering loyalty.
In his leisure time, Noah found joy in teaching people to drive, a skill he imparted with patience and kindness. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. And, much to his delight, he enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino, where his laughter and spirit were infectious.
A celebration of Noah's life will be held on November 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Church of God for All People located at 428 Mount Olive, Windsor, NC 27983. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Noah to join them in honoring his remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Noah's memory to an organization of your choice. They also wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Gentiva Hospice Care for their compassionate support during Noah's final days.
