In Loving Memory

Nisani Apelamo Lifuka
November 21, 1938 — August 9, 2026
In loving memory of Nisani Apelamo Lifuka, who peacefully departed this world on August 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her cherished family. Born on November 21, 1938, in the serene island of Nukufetau, Tuvalu, Nisani lived a life rich with warmth, generosity, and unwavering strength.
Nisani was a woman whose heart was as vast as the ocean surrounding her birthplace. Her life was a testament to resilience and love, a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Lifuka Samuelu, she built a family steeped in love and tradition. Together they nurtured and guided their four children: Sam, Vaealiki, Tulelei, and Alofagia, instilling in them the values of kindness and perseverance.
Her legacy extends through the generations, as she leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her indomitable spirit. Nisani's family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive. Her home was a sanctuary where laughter echoed, and stories of Tuvaluan culture and heritage were passed down with affection.
Nisani's life will be celebrated on September 30, 2026, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka, Mililani, at 9:00 AM. Friends and family will gather to honor a remarkable woman whose presence was a gift to everyone she encountered.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Nisani Apelamo Lifuka. She believed in the power of giving and would be honored by contributions that continue to spread love and hope.
As we bid farewell to a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, we hold onto the cherished memories that will forever keep her spirit alive in our hearts. Rest peacefully, dear Nisani, in the embrace of the heavens, knowing you are deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
