Nicole Manners

September 7, 1979 — July 1, 2026

Nicole Manners, born on September 7, 1979, in the close-knit community of Farrell, has left this world on July 1, 2026, at the age of 46. Her passing was as unique as her life—Nicole departed while embracing her passion, traveling the country with her beloved partner Tim Slattery and their loyal companion Ditto in their RV, spreading the message of recovery that she so fervently believed in. Nicole was the beloved daughter of the late Timothy Hunter and Kimberly Stowers, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into eternity, alongside her cherished nephew, Kaylub Cusick, and her grandparents. Her life was marked by profound connections and a deep commitment to those she cherished, including countless family and friends who, like her, battled the disease of addiction. She leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance in her partner and soulmate, Tim Slattery, whom she affectionately referred to as the Clyde to her Bonnie. Her children, Dylan Manners and his spouse Taylor, Ashley Manners and her spouse Jordan, and her adored grandson, Cameron Manners, will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Nicole's journey was one of transformation and triumph. She began her recovery on February 24, 2026, a date she held sacred. Her sobriety was a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, nurtured by the support of Reset, both the NA and AA fellowships, her steadfast family and friends, and her unwavering faith in her higher power. It was these elements that gifted her with a life filled with purpose and joy. Professionally, Nicole excelled as a medical billing and coding specialist, a career she pursued even as she traversed the country. Her work was not just a profession but a means to sustain her adventurous spirit and her mission of spreading hope. A dedicated member of both NA and AA, Nicole credited these organizations with not only saving but enriching her life. Her voice resonated at meetings nationwide and as a keynote speaker at five major conferences, where she inspired countless individuals with her story of resilience and hope. In her personal crusade, Nicole championed change by lobbying Congress to pass "Kaylub's Law," a monumental bill for the addiction community, named in honor of her late nephew. Her advocacy was a beacon of hope for those still fighting the battle she knew all too well. In accordance with her wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Nicole’s life, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AA and NA, organizations that were close to her heart. Nicole Manners will be remembered for her indomitable strength, her unwavering commitment to recovery, and her boundless love for her family and friends. Though she has departed from this world, her legacy of courage and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
