June 2, 1977 — May 23, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nickolay Victorovich Jogolev, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend. Nick left this world on May 23, 2026, while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, hiking the Manitou Incline in Colorado. He was born on June 2, 1977, in Moscow, Russia, to Victor Zhogolev and Irina Nicholson (Grachava). Nick's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a fervent zest for exploration. He was predeceased by his father, Victor Zhogolev, and his cherished grandmother, Elenora Kuzik. Left to honor his memory are his devoted mother, Irina, his loving wife, Coral Ann, his stepsons, Marcus and Atticus, his adopted daughters, Marley and Zoey, and his sons, Kevin (affectionately known as Sasha), Aleksei, and Dmitri. Nick and Coral's love story began Morrison Colorado where their first date took them on a hiking journey to Mount Falcon park. They soon moved together in January of 2013 to Normal, Illinois, where they were married on November 1, 2013. Their love was celebrated with family and friends on June 14, 2014 in Morrison Colorado. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising Coral's sons from a previous relationship, having three boys of their own, and joyfully welcoming two daughters into their home in 2023. Nick and Coral cherished their role as parents, always prioritizing their children's happiness and well-being. They dreamed of their later years filled with travel and sun-soaked days by the beach, sharing their mutual love for swimming. Nick was a man of intellect and ambition. He completed his Master's degree in Applied Mathematics in Moscow and excelled in his career as an IT Communications Engineer. Throughout his professional life, he contributed his expertise to esteemed organizations such as Spirent, Jones University, State Farm, Centura Health, and Common Spirit. His work was a testament to his dedication and skill. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nick was a man of varied interests and passions. He delighted in swimming, learning new languages—his latest endeavor being Latin—and staying well-informed on global issues and politics. Above all, he treasured the moments spent with his children, engaging in Scouts, soccer, gaming, and simply enjoying the joys of family life. Nick's kindness, generosity, and unique sense of humor left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was a true gentleman, always ready to lend a hand and open a car door with a smile. His big heart and unwavering generosity touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of warmth and compassion. A service to honor and celebrate Nick's remarkable life will be held on July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Presbyterian Church, located at 3737 New Hope Way, Castle Rock, CO 80109. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at New Hope, Cub Scout Pack 781, the climbers on the Manitou Incline on May 23rd, Manitou Springs Fire Rescue and Police Department, Castle Rock Police Department, Labeled and Loved Mamas of Colorado, and the entire community in and around Castle Rock for their kindness and support during this challenging time. Your generosity and compassion will forever hold a special place in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Nickolay Victorovich Jogolev, honoring his spirit of giving and love for humanity. Nick's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the warmth and beauty of the mountains he so dearly loved.
