It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nickolas Lynn Kinnaman, a beloved son, father, brother, cousin, uncle, and loyal dog companion. Born on September 30, 1977, in Hastings, Nebraska, Nickolas departed this world on July 28, 2026, in Mesquite, Nevada. His journey on Earth was a testament to love, resilience, and joy.
Nickolas was the cherished son of Christie (Fred) Fields of Corona, CA and Kent (JoDe) Kinnaman of Edgar, NE. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald & Barbara Organ, Orville & Alta Kinnaman and his loyal canine companions, Jean and Bandit. He is survived by his greatest pride and joy, his daughter, Alta Kinnaman of Hastings, NE; his siblings, Joshua Kinnaman of Cedar City, UT, Samantha (Tramayne) Phillips of Corona, CA, Danny (Charisse) Fields of San Diego, CA, Justin Fields of Corona, CA, Gavin Kinnaman of Omaha, NE, Daltan (Jenna) Kinnaman of Edgar, NE and Austin (Halee) Kinnaman of Edgar, NE. Nieces; Payton & Ezmeralda. Nephews; Kash, Jackson, Karson and Mason.
Nickolas’s greatest joy was being a father. His daughter, Alta brought a special light into his life, and the love he had for her was undeniable. She will forever carry the memories of his kindness, warmth, laughter, and the special bond they shared. Nickolas’s love for his family was a meaningful part of who he was, and his memory will live on through those he loved most.
A graduate of Corona Centennial High School in 1996, where he was on the wrestling team and made lifelong high school friendships. Nickolas was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. He held various jobs throughout his life, in Corona, CA, Edgar, NE and Cedar City UT.
Nickolas had a zest for life that showed through his many hobbies and the time he spent with the people he loved. Whether he was camping, fishing, swimming, listening to music, hiking with Jean, or spending time with his family and many friends. Nick found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His caring heart was evident in his readiness to help others, his love for animals and his infectious smile could light up any room. He was known for his engaging conversations, his positive outlook on life and his ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcome.
A service to celebrate Nickolas’s life will be held on September 13, 2026, at the Edgar Legion from 2–4 p.m. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring his memory. A private family memorial will be held in Naponee, Nebraska.
Family suggests that donations be made in Nickolas’s memory, to a charity of your choice.
Nickolas Lynn Kinnaman will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
