Nickie Joe Airington

Nickie Joe Airington went to be with our heavenly Father on August 26, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Betty Jane Airington and Claudie Joe Airington on August 6, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He lived in Bethany, Oklahoma, until he was 12 years old, after which he moved to Modesto, California, to live with his mother. During his high school years, he loved playing football and graduated in 1976. Nick was active in the Masonry Union and worked as a carpenter. In 1978, Nick met the mother of his two sons, Denise Counts. The couple moved back to Oklahoma in 1979 but separated in 1980. In 1994, Nick met the love of his life, Brenda Akin. They were married on July 9, 1996, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, and celebrated 30 years of marriage. Nick was preceded in death by his father, Claudie Joe Airington; his mother, Betty Jane Cobb; and his brother, Roy Airington. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Airington, of Kellyville, OK; his sons, Nickie Joe Airington, Jr. of Vinita, OK, Paul Allen Airington and his wife, Whitney, of Durant, OK, Joseph Mathew Eubanks and his wife, Linda, of Sapulpa, OK; his daughter, Brandi Dawn Schomer and her husband, John E., of Sand Springs, OK; sister Kim Cobb, of California; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and papa.
